New Town runs after school activity clubs every term, and more information about these and how to sign up will be sent out to families when it is available.

We have a thriving Breakfast Club each morning running from 8.00am.  This costs £2.50 a session and includes a healthy breakfast of cereal, toast, yogurts and juice.  Pupils who attend will enjoy a range of calm activities to start their day, such as colouring, jigsaws or reading.  They are then escorted to join their classes just before 8.45am to start the school day.  Please call into the school office or sent an email to admin@newtown.reading.sch.uk if you would like to enquire about a place.

At present we do not have wrap-around care after school provision.  This is mainly due to the lack of demand: many of our pupils live with extended family or have members of the family who work from home.  We do however survey this each year, so that we are able to gain an idea of the levels of interest from families, and therefore begin a feasibility study to consider it further where required.
